Music Production

Our CEO’s accrual of experience, working with iconic producers and artists, has created a solid foundation for his career. After decades of producing, he has formulated what he calls a “Production System!” The budget and music have always been equally important! This approach eliminates the common expenses that find their way into client fees! This system helps the client get more music for their money. So, in addition to getting high quality productions for your theme song, transitional music, or jingle, there’s a better chance of staying within your budget! And THAT sounds good already!

Film Scoring

The best footage can miss its mark with the wrong underscore! We pride ourselves on melodically interpreting the Director’s vision. From spotting sessions through to the final mix, it’s a collaborative effort! Your story. Our music. An established mood that works for each designated scene. Your television show, movie, or video game productions receive the musical integrity it deserves. Original music. Our goal: create memorable music landscapes that leave you humming long after your viewing ends!

Music Licensing

This component of the production can be the scariest, trickiest, and most intense part! One wrong move or word and the answer can be a resounding “NO”! That’s not what we want as a result! There’s no whimsical catch phrase, smooth talk, or gimmick that pulls anyone through this! Good negotiating skills, established relationships, and ethical measures produce results! And, if that should become overwhelming, we will consult our network of next level negotiators and attorneys*. Either way, our collective best efforts will be applied! Music Licensing fees are not regulated.

Film Project Development & Administration

Music Supervision is our specialty when it comes to film & television! But there is nothing to supervise if there’s no film! Right? Film Producers know that, after acquiring the funding, pre-production begins when the right pieces are in place! We can provide guidance on assembling the right team for your project! Selecting a genre-specific director is key! We also provide production support services on set and/or in the office!

Oh, and did we mention that Music Supervision is our specialty?

Corner furniture

In 2021, my former company, Overture Entertainment, Inc. produced a commercial for the now defunct Corner Furniture of Bronx, New York! It aired on BET and other networks! It also aired during the NBA Playoffs.

Our Founder

Robbie Jenkins

Robbie Jenkins is the CEO/Founder of the multi-faceted entertainment company, ROBTONE, LLC. He was previously the CEO/Founder of the now defunct Overture Entertainment, Inc. from 1995–2025. He completed an apprenticeship with the late Grammy-nominated Producer/Songwriter/Artist, Kashif, which afforded him the opportunity to interact with Whitney Houston, George Benson, Dionne Warwick and others.

He has also orchestrated original work for and performed it with the Washington Symphony Orchestra in Washington, D.C. As an artist/songwriter, Robbie had several releases downloading and streaming in 21 countries. His 2007 debut single, “Wherever You Go” (from the debut album, “Because It Feels Right”) jumped from #58 to #6 on the LIVE 365 RADIO CHART during its second week on the charts. DJ Yoshi & DJ Hyde (Japan) included “I’m The One” (also from B.I.F.R.) in their “High & Low Vol. 3 Hip Hop & RnB Mix” sold out mixtape series which also included Akon, Alicia Keys, Chris Brown and Ne-Yo.

Robbie has performed as a professional background vocalist and multi-instrumentalist in several World Tours with various major recording artists (Surface, P.M. Dawn, Jimmie Vaughan and many others); several national and international television appearances (The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Arsenio Hall Show and others); several major CD’s; and music videos. In July of 2017, Robbie was the opening act for Dionne Warwick in his hometown Wednesday Nite Live summer concert series. He has been a frequent guest on Our Lives with Gwen Edwards to promote appearances and civic activities in his community.

In September of 2014, Overture Entertainment, Inc. released a popular music video for his single, “I Wanna Be With You” from his “Because It Feels Right” CD. He completed and released his sophomore CD, “#Evolution” in the spring of 2015. In 2020, he returned to the studio to produce new material. In June of that year, Robbie released an afrobeat remake of the late Bill Wither’s classic, “Lovely Day”; the single that preceded the 2022 “Experienced” EP! Through Overture Entertainment, Inc.’s Music Development Institute programs, he lectured at UCONN Storrs; taught at Norwalk Community College; and provided after school music programs at several schools in the Stamford Public Schools System. Robbie also provided hands-on learning in music theory, music composition, songwriting, record production, vocal training, piano and guitar. The creation of his “online television network” Overture Entertainment Television (YouTube) during the pandemic, produced “The Industry 101”, a 10-episode program about understanding and navigating through the music industry. Since his first tour in 1989, he donated thousands of dollars in scholarship awards to students wishing to pursue music degrees in colleges and universities. To date, many have graduated and are working in their chosen field. He has been trained as a crisis intervention counselor by the American Red Cross in Bridgeport, CT. His work has garnered him organizational recognition and several civic awards, including a Key to the City of Stamford in 1989 for his community service to youth under Mayor Thomas Serani. Robbie’s creed is simple: “I cannot pay those back that assisted in my development. However, I can certainly pay it forward.”
